استبن ( نواكشوط ) - أجرت مفوضة الأمن الغذائي فاطمة بنت خطري، اليوم بمكتبها، مباحثات مع المدير العام لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للأغذية والزراعة "فاو" شو دونيو، الذي يزور موريتانيا حاليا.
وبحث الطرفان خلال اللقاء علاقات التعاون القائمة بين موريتانيا والمنظمة الدولية، وسبل تعزيزها وتطويرها، خاصة في مجال الأمن الغذائي.
وقدمت المفوضة للمدير العام للفاو، عرضا عن مهام المفوضية والأدوار التي تقوم بها في سبيل تعزيز الأمن الغذائي للمواطنين، وخاصة البرامج الاجتماعية التي تنفذها لصالح الطبقات الهشة.
كما استعرضت مختلف البرامج الاجتماعية التي تنفذها المفوضية، والأدوار التي تضطلع بها بالتنسيق والشراكة مع القطاعات الحكومية المعنية بالأمن الغذائي ومع الشركاء في إطار عمل الآلية الوطنية للوقاية والرد على الأزمات الغذائية.
من جانبه أعرب المدير العام للفاو عن إعجابه بالأدوار التي تضطلع بها المفوضية، مبديا ارتياحه لجهود المفوضية والحكومة الموريتانية في مجال الأمن الغذائي، ومعربا عن استعداد منظمته الدولية لتعزيز تعاونها مع موريتانيا في المجالات المرتبطة بالأمن الغذائي.
